The Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) remain one of the few undefeated teams as they host the New Orleans Saints (2-2) on Monday Night Football in Week 5. This matchup promises excitement, and we’ve pinpointed the best MNF prop bets and player props featuring stars like Patrick Mahomes, Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara, Travis Kelce, and rookie Xavier Worthy.

The Chiefs enter as -5.5 favorites, with the total set at 43.5 over/under at NFL betting sites. The Saints lead the NFL with a remarkable average of 31.8 points per game. Despite their high-scoring reputation, the Chiefs average 23.0 points per game, positioning them mid-pack. Both teams have strong defenses, ranking in the Top 7 for points allowed (under 18 ppg), and they excel at stopping the run, although both struggle to contain the pass.

Best MNF Prop Bets: Touchdowns

Alvin Kamara is the Saints’ touchdown machine with six TDs so far this season (five rushing). Kamara is the top favorite to score the first touchdown at +550 odds, any touchdown at -120 odds, and is +550 to score two or more touchdowns.

Saints WR Chris Olave is another key player, leading the team in receptions and yards but with only one TD. He’s poised for a breakout and is +190 for an anytime TD. Meanwhile, Rashid Shaheed, who leads the Saints with two receiving touchdowns and has been a preferred target for QB Derek Carr (25 targets), is +215 for an anytime TD.

PLAYER FIRST TD ANYTIME TD 2+ TDs
Alvin Kamara +550 -120 +550
Travis Kelce +650 +115 +800
Kareem Hunt +650 +135 +950
Xavier Worthy +800 +140 +1100
Carson Steele +900 +195 +1500
Chris Olave +1300 +190 +1500
Taysom Hill +1300 +235 +2000
Rashid Shaheed +1400 +215 +2200

There’s no shortage of Travis Kelce conspiracy theories, including several involving his girlfriend Taylor Swift, contributing to his lackluster start this season. The most logical explanation is that the Chiefs wanted to preserve Kelce’s health for a postseason run, so he was limited in the first few games due to load management. Kelce has yet to score a touchdown this season, but he’s long overdue. Oddsmakers and bettors seem to think so, especially the legion of Swifties who’ve been blindly firing away prop bets on Tay-Tay’s boyfriend. Kelce is +650 to score the first touchdown, +115 to score an anytime touchdown, and +800 to score multiple touchdowns. With WR Rashee Rice injured, we also like rookie WR Xavier Worthy to score an anytime TD at +140 on most betting sites.

Saints vs Chiefs Player Props: Passing

Both teams have weaknesses in their pass defenses, particularly their secondaries. The Saints allow opposing quarterbacks to pass for 233.8 yards per game (eighth worst), and the Chiefs allow 227.8 passing yards (tenth worst). Carr’s passing total is 214.5 yards. In two of his last three games, Carr passed for at least 239 yards. We like Carr to hit the over 214.5 yards on MNF. Mahomes exceeded 245 passing yards twice this season. His current passing total is 233.5 yards. Mahomes hitting the over in passing yards is a popular prop bet with the public, especially on MNF.

QUARTERBACK PASSING PROP BET OVER ODDS UNDER ODDS
Patrick Mahomes 233.5 Passing Yards O/U -115 -115
Patrick Mahomes 1.5 TDs O/U +100 -130
Derek Carr 214.5 Passing Yards O/U -115 -115
Derek Carr 1.5 TDs O/U +185 -245

Carr tossed six touchdowns this season. He’s +185 to throw two or more touchdowns on MNF, which we like as one of our best MNF prop bets. He already had two games this season with two or more touchdowns. Mahomes also passed for six touchdowns this season. He’s +400 to throw three or more touchdowns, which he has not done this season and only pulled off twice last season.

Saints vs Chiefs Player Props: Rushing

Both teams boast strong run defenses, with the Saints ranked #7 (allowing 96.5 yards per game) and the Chiefs ranked #8 (allowing 99 yards per game). The Chiefs lost starting RB Isaiah Pacheco to a knee injury, and rookie FB Carson Steele started in Week 3 before Kareem Hunt took over in Week 4. Hunt combined for 85 yards, with 69 rushing yards last week against the Chargers. His rushing total is 36.5 this week, and Hunt’s over looks enticing even against a Top 7 run defense.

PLAYER RUSHING PROP BET OVER ODDS UNDER ODDS
Alvin Kamara 53.5 Yards O/U -120 -110
Kareem Hunt 36.5 Yards O/U -120 -110

Kamara is having an outstanding season as a rusher. He’s second in the league in carries (80) and fourth in rushing yards (362). Averaging 4.5 yards per carry, he’s on pace to set a career high in rushing yards. Kamara is also a dual-threat with 17 catches for 174 yards and one touchdown reception, averaging 134 combined yards from scrimmage this season. We like Kamara’s combined yardage as one of our best MNF prop bets, with a total of 87.5 yards and a preference for the over.

Saints vs Chiefs Player Props: Receiving

Fading Kelce in player prop bets was profitable in the first three weeks as his usage rate hit career lows, catching just eight passes for 69 yards through Week 3. Things changed in Week 4 when Rice went down with a knee injury. Kelce caught seven passes for a season-high 89 yards against the Chargers and saw a season-high nine targets. With Rice out for MNF, Kelce’s over at 56.5 yards looks appealing at most betting apps.

PLAYER RECEIVING PROP BET OVER ODDS UNDER ODDS
Travis Kelce 56.5 Yards O/U -115 -115
Xavier Worthy 41.5 Yards O/U -115 -115
Alvin Kamara 29.5 Yards O/U -115 -115

Rookie Xavier Worthy made an impact in Week 1 with 58 combined yards for two touchdowns. After a quiet stretch, he stepped up last week when Rice got injured, catching three passes and setting a career high with 73 receiving yards and another touchdown. Worthy has a total of 41.5 yards on MNF, and we like the rookie’s over.
