There’s no shortage of Travis Kelce conspiracy theories, including several involving his girlfriend Taylor Swift, contributing to his lackluster start this season. The most logical explanation is that the Chiefs wanted to preserve Kelce’s health for a postseason run, so he was limited in the first few games due to load management. Kelce has yet to score a touchdown this season, but he’s long overdue. Both teams boast strong run defenses, with the Saints ranked #7 (allowing 96.5 yards per game) and the Chiefs ranked #8 (allowing 99 yards per game). The Chiefs lost starting RB Isaiah Pacheco to a knee injury, and rookie FB Carson Steele started in Week 3 before Kareem Hunt took over in Week 4. Kamara is having an outstanding season as a rusher. He’s second in the league in carries (80) and fourth in rushing yards (362). Averaging 4.5 yards per carry, he’s on pace to set a career high in rushing yards. Fading Kelce in player prop bets was profitable in the first three weeks as his usage rate hit career lows, catching just eight passes for 69 yards through Week 3.
